Budget 2021: Business pandemic support programs to be extended

In the Budget, the federal government announced that the Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy, the Canada Emergency Rent Subsidy, and the Lockdown Support programs, which are currently scheduled to expire on June 5, 2021, would instead be extended until September 25, 2021.

The benefits obtainable under each such program will be gradually reduced in the period between June 5 and September 25, on a prescribed schedule.
